United Colors of Benetton

New York, NY

The historic Scribner Building serves as a dramatic backdrop to the vibrant casual wear displays of Benetton. The classic Beaux Arts style building was designed in 1912 by Ernest Flagg and underwent a complete interior and facade restoration. The floors are divided by function: the grand first floor soars thirty feet high and serves as the main sales floor, below is an espresso bar with amenities, and the second floor is dedicated to offices. Custom display cases complement - not compete with - the ornate interior and the skylight, restored to its original state, once again serves to bathe the interior with natural light.
